Gum Chewer

In my programming class, there’s this kid that sometimes sits behind me. He is always chewing gum. That’s not bad in itself, but on top of that, he breathes loudly (he’s kind of fat, so I assume he breathes heavily all of the time). So he’s chewing and breathing at the same time and you get this sort of noise: “huhm hhuuhhmm hmm huhm huhm”. It is extremely distracting. I try to disregard it, but it just doesn’t work. “Huhhhm hum huhhm muhhuhm…..”

Arcade

Got a good, solid 3 hours of arcade time in today. It went quite well for a change. I’ve been cold lately. I averaged about 2.5 wins per 1 loss. The guy that usually beats me was not having much luck tonight. His Kazuya/Lee, Lei/Hwoarang, Yoshimitsu/Jin teams were no match for my Paul/Jin, Paul/King, and Paul/Hwoarang. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Box Office

The results of the Thanksgiving weekend at the box office:

1. Toy Story 2, $57.7 million
2. The World Is Not Enough, $24.3 million
3. End of Days, $19.8 million
4. Sleepy Hollow, $18.8 million
5. Pokémon: The First Movie, $7.1 million
6. The Bone Collector, $5.2 million
7. Dogma, $3.5 million
8. Anywhere But Here, $3 million
9. The Insider, $2.5 million
10. Being John Malkovich, $2.9 million

Let’s see.. I haven’t seen #1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9, or 10. I liked #7. A bit long, but definitely with its very memorable moments. I want to see #3,4, and 10. I saw Fight Club at a $2 theater last week. I liked that quite a bit too. It seems to get better as I relate all the events of the movie to what you learn at the end. It’s quite similar to the thinking you do after watching Sixth Sense. Nice.

New Section

There’s a new ‘front’ section. You can access it by clicking the link in the top-right corner. You can view either the ‘news’ front, the ‘life’ front, or ‘both’ fronts at the same time. However, the news one will always be the default because I don’t want to program a cookie to remember which one you want as the default. So you have to click the life link if you want to see it (I know.. life’s a bitch). Although, if anyone wants to make me such a cookie, I’d be more that willing to accept it.. heh.

Naked Man Attacks with His Weapon

A naked man ran through a church in London slicing people in the congregation up with a sword. He jumped around on the pews injuring 9 people as everyone stampeded out of the church. One man said this about the incident,

“It’s a very shocking experience wherever it happens, but particularly in a church.”

I think it’s particularly shocking anywhere. Would it be less shocking in a dentist’s office? or the grocery store? or an elementary school? Also, a girl involved in the incident might have said,

“I saw his thing flopping.”

Indeed you did. You know, this makes someone really wonder.. did he walk naked from his house? or did he strip outside the church?

New Stuff

This is the section that will contain my commentary on my life and life in general, humorous observations, pictures, stupid people, what I did last night, and how long I spent on the toilet this morning. There’s nothing here yet (obviously), but I thought I’d make the section while I had an eek of motivation. Latah.

CDRW Software

Hey all you geniuses out there. I need to tap your vast wisdom. I’m looking for a good program to burn rewritables. I believe the one I’m using does not do it. I have a Yamaha 16/4/4 drive, internal, SCSI (I forget the model number.. four thousand something – 4xxx). If you can help, mail me or (preferrably) visit this thread and lemme know. Thanks.

TVT Downloads

TVT Records is offering downloads of many songs/albums by many artists represented on their label until December 31. That includes Nine Inch Nails, Autechre, KMFDM, Ministry, and the list goes on and on. The songs are in MS Media Player format, are free to download, and ‘expire’ in 60 days. Or you can buy a non-expiring version of the song for 99 cents. Although, if you’re creative enough, I’m sure you can find a way around the ‘expiration’. Check out the TVT site to download ‘em.

South Park Women Lose Their Voice

Mary Kay Bergman, the woman that provides the voices for all but one of the female characters on South Park along with many other voices in different shows and films, has committed suicide. There was no note, so apparently there’s not yet a lead as to why she did it. Man… that’s really unfortunate.
