Okay. I’ve been on hold for 2 hours for Seagate technical support. First, I described the problem to a guy who transferred me. I sat on hold. I talked to the second guy, and he said he specializes in installation, which is not where my problem is. So he said he’d transfer me to the correct area with a priority rating so it wouldn’t take as long. Thanks a lot man. It’s been an hour, and I’m nowhere. At least I have 5 different music selections.. except the ‘classical’ one is the same thing over and over.

Hey.. did you ever notice that the bathrooms are full a lot more at or closely after lunch time?

Study Guide

Is it a cigar, banana, or nugget? How many pieces are there? What color is it? Time’s running out. The test is in a few hours. Time to take a crash course on fecal knowledge. What better way than with the Fecal Study Guide. There are no ‘real’ pictures, but if you’re gonna be offended, then just don’t go.

Gary Coleman Needs Your Money

That’s right. Little Gary Coleman, after losing all his money day trading, is asking you to help him out of bankruptcy. He was approached by a company with the idea to do an internet fundraiser for himself, and he agreed. I imagine he’s now sitting in his bedroom naked clicking ‘refresh’ over and over on the hit stats for his site waiting for the big bucks to start rolling in. Now now, before you start writing the check and asking me for the address, take a look at his web-a-thon site. It’s kinda funny actually.

New Prince Song

It’s called The Greatest Romance That’s Ever Been Sold *shiver* I kind of like it. I didn’t like it when I first starting listening to it. By the end of the first listening, I had mixed feelings, now after a few more times of hearing it on the radio, it’s starting to sound pretty good. Is something wrong with me? There’s a little bit of it here if you want.

GUI History

Kind of interesting. A history of the evolution of graphical user interfaces. Being the cretin that I am, I’ve never heard of a lot of them. That first version of Windows is hideous. Ow, my eyes. Check it.

Tekken Championship

Video footage from the Tekken Tag Tournament World Championship has hit the net. It’s some of the best Tekken playing around. If you’ve played or want to see what it’s like, then take a look. Check it out here.

Nursing Home Explosion

An explosion in a nursing home sent everyone fleeing from the building as flames and smoke spread throughout the building. Five people were killed. (Excite) This is only a few miles from my house. I guess you could feel the ground rumble and hear the explosion from far away. Kinda scary. And why would you want to bomb a convalescent home?

UPDATE: Well.. it turns out they don’t think it was a bomb. They think it was a boiler room problem. Pays Back has started a new deal where people are rewarded if their is song among the top songs on the site. They call it “Payback for Playback.” The total amount of money being given out is $200,000, and the number one musician this month could expect a cut of $30,000. Sounds like a good plan to me. Check the source for more info.

BubbleBoy Is Out

A new type of virus has been found. Typically, viruses sent through email are contained in attachments, and as long as you do not open the attachment, you are safe from infection. That doesn’t necessarily hold true any longer. A virus is going around, called BubbleBoy, that can be activated simply by viewing an email, whereupon a Visual Basic script is run. This virus itself isn’t a threat, but it’s a scary view of what may be coming. Check the source for more info about what it does, how it does it, what it affects, etc.

Tom Green

I didn’t see it, but I guess during a Tom Green Show episode, a Canadian flag caught on fire and burned. Upon his return to Canada, Tom was worried that the citizens might have an uprising and pelt him with stones and random debris. Fortunately, nothing bad happened, so our friend is still around to make shows for us. So.. yeah. Anyway, if you’re a fan of Tom Green, check out this article. It has some good info about that episode, Tom, his show, their past and their future. Yup.
