He certainly is.
He certainly is.
I got this email a few days ago:
As you may have heard, gas prices are skyrocketing
beginning this week, they are thinking around $2.00/gallon
for premium here in Columbus, OH, and speculation has it
the price will not be going down until the end of summer.
I will be planning on participating in the gas out mentioned
below, whether or not it works, we’ll see.
Last year on April 30,1999, a gas out was staged across Canada and
the U.S. to bring the price of gas down, and it worked.
It’s time to do something about it again!
This time, lets make it for three days instead of just one. The oil
cartel decided to slow production to drive up gasoline prices. Lets
see how many CanadianAmerican people we can get to ban together for
a three day period in April, NOT TO BUY ANY GASOLINE, during those
three days. LETS HAVE A GAS OUT.
Do not buy any gasoline from APRIL 7, 2000, THROUGH APRIL 9, 2000.
Mark it on your calendar!
Buy what you need before the dates listed above, or after, but try
not to buy any during the GAS OUT. If you want to help, just send
this to everyone you know and ask them to do the same.
We brought the prices down once before, and we can do it again!
Come on North America lets stand together.
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Even if you receive this 100 times keep passing it around, this way
you know everyone is being informed and no one will forget!!!!!!!!
You could probably copy and paste that message into an email and send it to people if you want to get gung-ho about this thing. I guess it’s not a bad idea, although I don’t remember the last one having any impact. And I also don’t really foresee this helping much (or working much for that matter), but who am I? Anyway, give it a shot; who knows what’ll happen.
Okay people. I was ready to recommend the company I purchased my computer from, but I now discourage anyone from buying from them. The company is CyberPower, Inc. Their people are near impossible to get ahold of on the phone. I spend nearly 2 hours trying each time before I talk to anyone. They repeatedly promised me things that never happened. I’m sending the computer back to them because it’s very unstable. Blue screens, crashing immediately after Win98 setup, locks up, everything else. I was initially going to have them rebuild me one. But after spending 4 hours each day trying to get ahold of them to get and give details of our transaction, I decided I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t have time to wait this much if there’s a problem in the future. So, I’m just returning it. I have another company in mind, and I’ll let you know how that one turns out. Again, CyberPower is BAD. No buy. Spread the word.
About 5 of us our traveling around Michigan for some Tekken competition. We might hit Ann Arbor first and then head over to Detroit. We’re going to Detroit for sure, but we’re not so sure about Ann Arbor. Should be fun. I’ll let ya know. I think I’m going to take a camera along and see if I can’t get some good shots.
One more thing. I think I told you that I ordered a Sony CPD-G400 monitor. The first one I got had a dark spot in the corner so I traded it in. My second one has the same spot in the corner, and it also doesn’t seem quite as crisp as the first. The brightness consistency across the monitor isn’t too good either. It seems almost splotchy with very mild dark spots. I’m gonna call the place I got it from and see what they’ll do. They’ve been very good so far.
