I figured out why the front page takes so long to load in Netscape 4.x. Well, not only does it take a long time to load, but it locks up Netscape for a good 10-20 seconds. It’s quite a pain. It’s because there’s so many tables on this page. It seems that Netscape downloads all the code for the page and then spends forever interpreting the code. Really stupid. I suppose I should remedy that, eh? It doesn’t affect Netscape 6. How many people even use Netscape 4.x anymore? It’s too late at night to be thinking about this.
Oh, I did fix a bug in the script that takes news posts to the forum. It was messing up forum post counts among other things.
