Watch out for exploding CDs. I guess it’s not surprising considering that fast CD-ROM drives spin CDs at about 8,000-12,000 RPM. To put that into perspective, that’s faster than consumer level hard drives (5,400-7,400 RPM). Pretty soon we’re going to have to wear safety goggles before get near the computer or bury them like flywheels in the ground
