I just can’t believe it. The Michigan legal system is so, so very ignorant. From the very beginning to now, I’ve been told things. Those things are NEVER true. From one person to the next, you’re told the process for doing something. You carry out that process and try to move on to the next step. At the next step, they say, “What?! This is all wrong.” You beg and plead nicely for direction in what to do to remedy the situation. You do those things and now everything is fine! At least according to that person. At the next stop along the way, you’re told things are wrong again. It’s been like this the ENTIRE way. You literally can not place confidence in anything that anyone says with regard to how things work and what needs to be done. It seems you need to double and triple check everything you hear to ensure at least a little of it is correct. I’m so disheartened. I have six months to go.

so this is about your liscence eh? 6 more months? you’re kidding me.
I swear to god the entire legal system is there to make Lawyers money, noting more. It doesn’t stop crime it doesn’t put the guilty in jail and keep the innocent out. It keeps those who dump a shit ton of money in the system out of jail. It’s extortion on an enormous scale. Death to lawyers.
Dude, it’s not just lawyers. It’s the entire system. Probation is there for MONEY. Jail is there for MONEY. Counseling is there for MONEY. None of it is about rehabilitation. Only the very rare person actually cares about you and helping you get better. If anything, they all try their hardest to keep you in the system as long as they can. It’s all about squeezing the most out of while they can. The longer you’re in, the more you pay. It’s difficult to even believe if you haven’t experienced it. I would have had a tough time visualizing how bad it is if someone tried to describe it to me.
As a matter of fact, I feel much more frustration towards the system than the lawyers. I actually had a nice, understanding lawyer. He didn’t try to gouge me, and he did his best to help me understand things. The jail and the court and the probation department and the counselors are what have gotten under my skin.
The problem is that we have so many people who do go by the people you see that the system (people in it) see only the worst of society 90% of the time. So when they see someone who did just make a mistake they just assume you are part of that 90% and you can’t really blame them. They hear your exact story from people they have seen 10 times before. I am excusing but I would feel the same way. The system doesn’t work and every way we have come up to fix it is shot down because it won’t perfect the system. I dunno, short of shit canning the whole thing and starting over it will take decades to get change through the currect system. We just have to sorta keep screaming about it and get people to change it.
I don’t know what to say, this is just so not funny. God damn legal system …
Is there ANYTHING you can do to speed up the process at all Forgo?
I believe there’s nothing I can do to speed it up. The only thing I can do is not make it longer.
