I’ve gone and done it now and there’s no backing out! I have decided to adopt the Uberman’s Sleep Schedule (aka polyphasic sleep). See the K5 story and everything2 node if you haven’t heard of this before, but I’ll paraphrase it for you: 2-3 hours of sleep a day, spread out in six naps of 20-30 minutes. Imagine having over 21 waking hours a day. Yep, exactly what I was thinking… too cool.
Luckily my schedule actually accommodates this sort of schedule just fine, so Iíll be starting immediately. After my 8:00 PM nap (coming up in just 30 mins!), Iíll start a log on my web page and post my daily results as well as incremental status reports here. From there, naps will be had at 4 hour intervals (12/4/8).
During this time, if I become hallucinogenic, start spouting even weirder stuff than I usually do, or attempt to kill one of you, let me know or stop me, forcibly if necessary! Anyway, wish me luck!
