Say what?

What do you do when you’re walking toward someone, knowing exactly what you’re going to say, and then they say that exact thing to you first. You can’t repeat what they just said. And you already put all of your concentration and effort into the first thing. What do you do?

Oh, and can someone please point me to some good sites that I should check frequently. I’m sitting here wanting something good to read and am at a loss as to where to go. Help!

Hmm, Something Awful is always a good read.  Not sure if you read that or not.  I love Photoshop Phridays :-D

Oh, to answer your first question, I do one of the following:

    * Proceed to yell at them for stealing my thought, and run away in a crazy babbling hysteria.

    * Lengthy blank stare, with optional scratches of face, buttocks, or neck.

    * Say the same thing back to them, but in a more expressive manner (sadder if a sad topic, or exciting if upbeat, you get the idea).  Outshine them and show them you can say it better!

    * Immediately turn around, walk away and mumble to yourself how you were going to say that in a down voice until you are out of sight of the other person.  Optionally you can continue to do this all day to the person, say, if you work with them.

    * If it’s a female, give her a hug for saving you the trouble of saying all those horrible word things!  Then try to kiss her.  If you get slapped, it’s not my fault.

You could also read The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy out loud to me over the phone.  I’ll also accept taped or mp3 submissions that I can play later.

Someone wasn’t wearing their tin foil hat now were they. You must avoid these people as they are aliens that can read your mind and are sent here to perpetuate use into feeling inferior to handicapped midget hispanics with no pinky toe on their left foot… but that’s just my theory.
